April 2018 EMBRACE Highlight
MARCH 30, 2018
WHEN YOU GIVE TO Camp Hill UMC’s one-fund for ministry, you are embracing God’s vision of growing children’s ministries and extending God’s love to the Camp Hill community!
How, you ask?
Because of the Embrace Initiative, together through our church’s unified giving, this winter we were able to give $4000 to CACCC (Churches Affiliated Childcare Center, Inc.) to support their ministry of caring for and encouraging the faith of the youngest members of the wider community! This was over and above the $8,000 we will give this year to support scholarships for attending children and the $25,000 we were able to give through the Camp Hill UMC endowment to support CACCC’s upcoming move to a new facility in Camp Hill!
Camp Hill UMC has been CACCC’s primary ministry site since its genesis 30 years ago with just one site and eight children. CACCC now serves 70 children at the Camp Hill UMC site and prides itself on being able to provide quality care and education at the most reasonable rates possible. Priority is given to families with demonstrated financial need who may not be able to afford the tuition charged by for-profit child care programs, and many children benefit from the tuition scholarship program.
We praise God that through your giving, hundreds of children over CACCC’s thirty years of history have been cared for with the love of Christ, and we praise God that CACCC’s new building will make it possible for the ministry to grow and for hundreds more to receive and share this love for the next 30 years and beyond!
