APRIL 15, 2018

Please continue to keep the Panguma Travel Team in your prayers this week, including Pastor Tom! As Drew always says, the Panguma Team is far larger than the 7 people traveling to Sierra Leone. Our whole community shares together in that partnership through prayer and the sharing of our resources!

The same should be said for the whole of Camp Hill UMC’s leadership! Although the Nominations and Leadership Development Team is nominating only 9 people to serve on the church’s new Unified Leadership Council, we all play vital roles in God’s unfolding plan to build the kingdom through the ministry of Camp Hill UMC! We invite the whole church this week to come together in the prayerful task of discernment, as we present the names, photos, and bios of the nine people nominated this Spring to serve on the Council. Please use the bulletin insert of bios this week during your personal prayer time. We then invite everyone to a Meet & Greet of the nominees next Sunday, April 22nd after both worship services in the Fireside Room. One of our primary goals in moving to a new leadership structure is to increase the transparency of our leadership. We want to have authentic relationships with the people lifted up to lead us! So, we hope you’ll take the opportunity to introduce yourself and get to know the people nominated to serve in this new season. Then, on April 26th, please join us in the Gathering Space at 6pm for another reception opportunity to both meet the new candidates and also celebrate those who have served in leadership throughout Tom’s pastorate at CHUM. At 7pm, we will gather in the sanctuary for a formal Church Conference introduction of the nominees and the opportunity for all members to vote on the nominations committee’s recommendations. We hope to see you there for prayer, discernment, and celebration!
