Today is the one year anniversary of Camp Hill UMC’s Embrace Initiative. The mission of this congregation is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. It’s difficult to make disciples if it’s 95 degrees and the air conditioning is broken, if the pot holes in the parking lot are big enough to damage a car, if there’s no staff to lead an essential ministry program, or if the sewer line is backed up into the church. Over the past year, the Embrace Initiative has allowed us to address needs like these, pay down our indebtedness to the tune of almost $100,000, expand our Mission Outreach, and begin a much needed facelift for our Children’s Ministries space. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg of what Embrace has made possible through your faithful stewardship. And we’re not done yet! In the coming year there will be some significant upgrades at our Fineview Road parsonage as we prepare for a new lead pastor, the Gathering Space and Fireside Room redesign will take place, we will pay down another $100,000 of our indebtedness, and our Children’s Ministry Space will continue to be upgraded as our Child Care Ministry (CACCC) departs the building in June. These and many other smaller projects will continue to be funded by Embrace, thanks to your continued financial support of God’s work here at CHUM. Thanks for being God’s faithful stewards of the resources the LORD has temporarily entrusted to your care!
