July 2018 EMBRACE Highlight
JULY 1, 2018
When you give to Camp Hill UMC’s one-fund, you are embracing God’s vision of radical hospitality!
How, you ask?
This spring and summer, because of the Embrace Initiative, Camp Hill UMC was able to do some significant renovation work in the incoming Lead Pastor’s parsonage to prepare for Pastor Gary and Cindy’s arrival, to the tune of $29,576! These renovations included much-needed maintenance and remodeling work that helps both ensure that we care for a valuable church asset and also that we welcome well a valuable new member of the pastoral team!
The work included repairing the parsonage HVAC system to fix an issue of wide variance in temperature between the first and second floors, removing the dining room wall paper, repainting the interior, installing new hardwood floors in two rooms, removing old wood paneling in the family room and replacing it with drywall, repairing drywall in the garage, replacing a lazy susan, installing several new lights and a ceiling fan, replacing floor vents, mulching, and planting flowers.
We are grateful for the work of many contractors, staff, and lay people who served with excellence and grace to ensure that these improvements were ready in time for Pastor Gary and Cindy’s moving day!
Because of your faithful giving, these funds have been available at the time when they have been needed to prepare this space for a new season of ministry. Praise God!
