Bonjou soti nan mòn yo nan Ayiti. Mwen priye ke ou menm ak fanmi ou te pa t ‘jis yon kòmanse kontan nan ane a nouvo, men yon beni. Kòm ane a 2018 te fini ak ane a 2019 kòmanse mwen rekonesan pou twòp bagay nan lis, mwen espere ke se vre pou ou kòm byen.

Mwen rekonesan an Ayiti pou selebre Nouvèl Ane a, yon vwayaj trè inatandi pou ankouraje yon ekip nan Middlesex UMC nan Carlise. Kèk nan ou ka konnen pastè yo, Pastè Rachael Wong ki te grandi nan parsonage a nan ki Cindy ak mwen kounye a ap viv.

Men rekonesan pou prezans pastoral ak predikasyon Rev Rev. George Barto nan Selebrasyon ak prezans pwisan Ministè Elèv nou an pandan y ap mennen adorasyon nan New Life semèn sa a. Elèv nou yo gen entansyonèlman fèt yon sèvis ki pwoklame bon nouvèl la ak yon mesaj ki soti nan Arawon Jutzi!

Mwen rekonesan pou moun òdinèman nan CHUM ki chak jou adore Bondye ekstraòdinè nan nou yo ak mwen rekonesan ke Bondye sa a nou adore te defye nou ansanm pote bon nouvèl pa sèlman nan mond lan men nan frè parèy nou yo. Mwen gade pou pi devan pou yo te avè ou pwochen dimanch pandan n ap selebre Epifani Dimanch ak kado ke nou tout pote nan ministè. Happy New Year! (Haitian Creole)

Greetings from the mountains of Haiti. I pray that you and your family have had not just a happy start to the new year but a blessed one. As the 2018 year has ended and the 2019 year begins I am thankful for too many things to list, I hope that is true for you as well.

I am thankful to be in Haiti to celebrate the New Year, a very unexpected trip mentoring a team from Middlesex UMC in Carlisle. Some of you may know their pastor, Pastor Rachael Wong who grew up in the parsonage in which Cindy and I now live.

I am thankful for the pastoral presence and preaching of the Rev. George Barto in Celebration and the powerful presence of our Student Ministry as they lead worship in New Life this week. Our students have intentionally designed a service that proclaims the good news with a message from Aaron Jutzi!

I am thankful for the ordinary people of Camp Hill UMC who daily worship this extraordinary God of ours and I am thankful that this God we worship has challenged us together to bring Good News not just to the world but to our neighbor.

I look forward to being with you next Sunday as we celebrate Epiphany Sunday and the gifts that we all bring to ministry. Happy New Year!
