Have you ever thought about becoming a short-term or long-term missionary with Jesus Christ? Maybe becoming a United Methodist Mission Volunteer is the perfect next step for you! Mission Volunteers are individuals or couples (ages 18 and up), who seek long-term partnerships with communities around the world. Mission Volunteer opportunities are diverse and range from working with refugees, children and youth, serving as a teacher, pastor, camp director or health care professional. The length of service ranges from two months to more than two years.


Current Mission Volunteer placement openings with immediate need:


Reelfoot Rural Ministries- Obion, TN
Reelfoot Rural Ministries is seeking a Community Services Assistant to be a liaison for volunteers, work with the back to school program, food bank and toy store ministry. In the summer the Community Services Assistant will focus on home rehab and camp ministry.

Asian Rural Institute (ARI) – Japan
ARI is seeking a Training Program Volunteer who will serve as part of ARI’s diverse and vibrant community to help support their training program. Work assignments include livestock, crops and vegetables, office, meal service, and maintenance.
