The Old and New Testaments both bear witness to God’s immutable nature. “I, the Lord, do not change…” (Malachi 3:6) “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change as shifting shadows.” (James 1:17)

The Psalmist is very clear, “My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. Truly, He is my rock and salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.” (Psalm 62:1-2)

David viewed the Lord as his anchor in life. When everything is changing, God is our sure foundation.

I have found this to be true in my own life. The Lord is my constant companion and confidant. He is ever-present and envelops me with love and grace. When others walk away, we are human, and we always do, He remains. When others fail to listen, He is tuned in. When others seek to tear down, He builds up. The Lord speaks through the prophet Isaiah, “To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?” (Isaiah 40:25-31, check it out)

In this season of COVID change, which has affected us in differing ways, God has remained our source of strength and support. The Lord is guiding us.

As a faith family, we have been physically apart for a long time, and we are now planning a return to in-person worship while we still live-stream, for not all are in a position to return. We have set July 19 as our target date. You will be hearing a lot more within the next few weeks about all the changes necessary to provide in-person worship. We appreciate your prayers and support during this very fluid season of life and faith adventure.
