ULC Update For May 2021

ULC Update

MAY 28, 2021

As the weather gets warmer, we are reminded that summer is just around the corner. Although this summer will be different from last summer, it will still offer challenges due to COVID. We are not letting it stop Camp Hill UMC from reaching out and sharing the Gospel in many ways.

I am excited about several new things coming
this summer.

Our new online worship campus will hopefully be launched this July, intentionally to reach people who do not yet have a connection with Jesus or an established faith community.

Our ministry partnership with Grace UMC in Lemoyne will be moving forward with 40 (13 in June) mission opportunities during our Community Impact Summer.

Our first of three Movie Nights in our Summer Movie Series on the lawn will take place on June 12th. We will have two food trucks
(Midnite Smokin BBQ Food Truck & Good Life Ice Cream Truck). Donations of toothpaste for the Earl Besch Project are requested.

Vacation Bible School will be held both virtually and in person (outdoors) this year, June 14-18th.

Information and sign-ups for the summer events and mission opportunities can be found on our website.

I believe we are working hard to answer Jesus’ call in Mark 16:15 asking us to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

We ask for continued prayer concerning the direction of our partnership with Grace UMC in Lemoyne, which was the focus of the Town Hall meeting on May 23rd. We pray for God’s Word to be spread throughout not only our community but the entire world. Please take an opportunity to speak with or email a ULC member or attend one of our meetings to share your ideas or suggestions. I am thankful for the privilege and opportunity to serve Camp Hill UMC as a ULC member and look forward to hearing from you.
