Make and donate a casserole full of love to bless the homeless and hungry of downtown Harrisburg through Helping Hands Ministry. Pick up a casserole tray and recipe from the Gathering Space, prepare a hearty meal and return it labeled and frozen to the Mission Hub! Due by October 27th.

Thanksgiving Meal Drive

Our goal is to collect 300 Boxes of Stuffing Mix for a Thanksgiving Meal Drive, benefiting the constituents of Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg in Jesus name! Due by October 27th.

Our goal is to collect 300 Boxes of Instant Potatoes to fill emergency Thanksgiving needs through the Ecumenical Food Pantry located in Harrisburg! Due by October 27th.

Peanut Butter Drive

Our goal is to collect 250 small jars (16 ounces) of peanut butter for the BackPack Ministry. This program is designed to meet the hunger needs of students in the Camp Hill School District who receive backpacks with nonperishable and vitamin fortified foods to take home on weekends. Due by October 27th.

Socktoberfest!

Our goal is to collect 1,200 pairs of adult-sized, male socks so that the Mobile mission can give out 100 pairs a month to the unhoused living on Harrisburg streets throughout the year! Due by October 27th.

Sorting while Seated

Mission Central, located in Mechanicsburg, collects specific items to assist during an emergency and those items are sent all around the world or even locally when disaster strikes. Volunteers often help prepare or double check these various kits to ensure they are ready when the time comes!

Sunday, October 20th is the annual Crop Hunger Walk through Church World Service. It is an event where we raise funds individually to help end hunger both locally and around the world!

Bethesda Mobile Mission delivers food and God’s love to the homeless population of Harrisburg late at night where they generally live. It is an insightful experience! There is also an additional opportunity to make a simple meal (hotdogs, soup, subs, etc.) to take with us.

Meal Packing Event

An incredible opportunity, with Rise Against Hunger, for participants to serve Christ and combine various ingredients into over 25,000 ready-to-cook meals that will be shipped to serve the developing world. Various jobs for elderly, kids ages 5 and up and some heavy lifting. Please print, fill out, and bring the required waiver with you to the event.
