Meet Leslie

Leslie is Camp Hill UMC’s Director of Communications. She manages the website, directs Camp Hill UMC’s social media and app, and handles any major communications on special projects and events. Communication impacts each person in our church, but Leslie is developing the Communication Ministry beyond Camp Hill UMC’s walls to expand God’s family.

Leslie has been working and worshipping at Camp Hill UMC for five years. Outside of work, Leslie’s mission field is her home. She is a wife and a mama to her beautiful daughter, Emerson. She lives in Camp Hill will her husband, daughter, and mother (that’s a fun God story, ask her about it when you see her). Leslie is currently helping to spearhead a new Fresh Expression of Church in the Camp Hill community called Food, Faith, and Friends. It is a Dinner Church.

What is your life verse?

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Psalm 19:14

What is your biggest pet peeve?

People who eat food off your plate without asking first. I like to save the best potato chip, French fry, or slice of avocado for my final bite and my husband thinks because I haven’t eaten it yet, I don’t want it. He has been close to losing a finger or two.

What one food could you eat every day?

Potato chips! My favorite brand is Middleswarth. You can keep your BBQ and your Sour, Cream, and Onion, and just give me regular potato chips any day (the folded chips are the best because they are the crunchiest, in my humble opinion). Chips are served best with a cold glass of Root Beer.

Where is your hometown?

I grew up in York, PA. Specifically the borough of West York.

What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have?

My main hobby is being a stay-at-home-working-mama, and I love it! My daughter and I like to have picnics, go for walks, garden, read, and bake together.

Where is your favorite place to visit?

My favorite place to visit is our little family cabin in Sinnamahoning, PA. It is a special place where we go to get off the grid and recharge. We spend the time with family in the creek, around a campfire, and always playing a competitive game of Rook. It is the only place we visit each year that has zero cellphone reception!

You’re happiest when?

I am happiest when I am surround by my family and we are all laughing so hard our sides hurt!
