Bring those family and friends who are in your COVID bubble and are those with whom you live or share air space! Pre-registration is required.
Encounter the story of the very first Christmas with your family at Camp Hill UMC as you follow the star to Christ Jesus. We invite you to walk through our outdoor, interactive, and socially-distanced nativity experience. The journey begins in December.
There will be several days you can come and follow the star! For more information and to pre-register, visit camphillumc.org/fts.
We will once again be decorating the Sanctuary and Worship Center with colorful symbols of the Christmas season. Poinsettias will be displayed Christmas Eve and will be available to pick up after January 4, 2021. Please call the church office at 717-737-5631 to make arrangements to pick them up. All poinsettias are 8 to 10 blooms and are $13.00 each. Deadline to order poinsettias is December 17th.
*Note: Any and all gifts and gift cards, above and beyond our wish list, will also be accepted. Thank you!
A big THANK YOU to all the generous people who have support the Angel Tree this year! We are so grateful when we see the Angel Tree gifts come rolling in. Keep ’em rolling!
For those of you with the angels on white paper: Gifts should be wrapped and turned in by Sunday, December 13th. On December 13th, we will be available by the church front doors and in the Gathering Space to accept the gifts between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Gifts may be turned in to the church office, but please call first.
For those of you with angels on pink paper, gifts should be wrapped. The deadline has been extended to December 16th.
We have elves available to wrap gifts if you are challenged that way.
ALL ANGEL TREE gift bearers: we have noticed that gifts from Amazon are starting to be in short supply, you may purchase a substitute as long as it is still age appropriate and somewhat similar to the request.
As always, lots of families have asked for gift cards, notably the following:
Gas cards from various places like Sheetz, Sunoco, Turkey Hill
IF you have a gift card in need of a home, we will happily accept any and all. We will find it a good home!
Did you know that you could serve the Lord at Camp Hill UMC by cooking? One of Camp Hill UMC’s best-kept secrets is our Meal Ministry. When someone has surgery or gives birth or moves into a new house the meal ministry is there to help during those times that a little assistance is needed.
What a perfect opportunity for disciples of Jesus to serve the Lord to follow in his footsteps by providing a meal for those going through stressful times! If you would like to join this ministry or if you are in need of meals or know someone who is, contact Kelly Marrara today at 215-834-6150 or email@example.com.
Camp Hill UMC is looking for a part-time Community Outreach Coordinator. Camp Hill UMC is a dynamic, welcoming church that focuses on making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the word. The Community Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for carrying out impactful community engagement opportunities, administering the focus of Camp Hill UMC on externally-focused mission. Visit camphillumc.org/employment to learn more and apply!
Occasionally, a parishioner needs a ride to the doctors or for errands. We have a few folks who have volunteered to drive but who may not be available at a particular time so we would like to expand our potential driver list in the event of a specific need. If you would be available, on occasion, with advanced notice, please email Pastor Sharon at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 717-691-8241. If you have any special notes on availability, as in particular days or times, please so indicate as well as the best way to reach you. Thank you in advance!

Join Miss Katie and some special Camp Hill UMC friends to listen to us read your child a bedtime story each Thursday night at 7:00 pm! The real meaning of Christmas is simple: we celebrate Jesus, God’s greatest gift. We can find hope, joy, love, and peace when we remember that God sent Jesus to be our Savior. All December we are talking about Christmas! Join us weekly as your kids ages 2-Grade 5 engage with Jesus through our virtual Sunday School lessons. We encourage you to watch the videos as a family because we want families to experience the grace of Jesus together. Lessons premiere on YouTube Fridays at 12:00 pm. Visit camphillumc.org/children to learn more! Questions, email Miss Katie, Camp Hill UMC’s Children’s Director at email@example.com.
Camp Hill UMC will be providing dinners for the Family Promise families on December 20th–27th. If you would like to learn more about this service opportunity, please contact Faith Blough at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are currently looking for a few souls who love reaching out to others on the phone to help make a round of calls to the congregation to check in during this terribly difficult and disconnected Covid season. You will be given a suggested script to help with ideas for the calls, along with a list of people to phone. If you’re willing to help, please contact Pastor Anna at email@example.com.
The Unified Leadership Council will meet next on January 12th at 6:30 pm online. These meetings are open to all members and friends of the church. Since the beginning of this COVID season, we’ve had to make some adjustments, including fast-tracking our need to live stream weekly. With this, we are in need of some help in our worship tech ministries, running the camera, lyrics, and sound for our live stream worship services. All training will be provided. For more information, contact Brad Gardner at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Grab your coffee and join us for our Virtual Coffee Connection on Zoom. Fellowship will begin immediately following the 9:30 am Worship Service on Sunday morning, December 13th. Please sign up at camphillumc.churchcenter.com/registrations or call the church office for assistance at 717-737-5631. We can’t wait to see your smiling face!
Join us as we welcome new members during our Virtual Coffee Connection this Sunday!
Studying God’s word with our siblings in Christ is a very valuable piece of our Christian walk. Through these group studies, we also grow in relationship, not only with God but with our Camp Hill UMC family and friends. We invite and encourage everyone to be a part of a Discovery Group. Both in-person and virtual groups are forming and others are continuing. You do not have to be a member or attendee of Camp Hill UMC to join a study group. All are welcome to participate.
Ideas for prayer for each day of December have been shared by the Camp Hill UMC Pastors. Feel free to add additional prayers that come to your mind and heart for people and situations in our local church, The United Methodist Church, the global church, and the wider world. Prayers will be listed on camphillumc.org/prayertime and daily on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Encouragement sessions on Facebook Live are a great way for us to stay connected while we are physically distant. We will now offer three Facebook Live sessions per week. Someone from Camp Hill UMC will be engaging with you on Facebook Live* at 6:30 pm. In our church’s pattern of praying together at dinner time, we invite you to join in these “community” events and to add your prayers to the chorus. See our updated schedule below!
Sundays : Sermon Rewind
Bring questions from that morning’s sermon!
Tuesdays: Children’s Chat with Miss Katie
Wednesdays: Mid-Week Check In
