Seamstresses Needed

Camp Hill UMC is collecting cloth masks, of any design. Our goal is to have 300 masks, individually bagged, available for the congregation upon reentry. Completed masks can be dropped off in the labeled bin by the main entrance or we can schedule a socially-distant pick up, simply contact Drew at drew@camphillumc.org.

Thank You!

Thank you to my CHUM Family for all the cards, the Easter flowers (that filled my apartment with the memory of spring), blanket, and all the love you send my way. I really appreciate it all! Although we are shut-in and it seems so long, we are safe and the staff here is doing their very best. Yes indeed, Christ is Risen! With love, Irene Schmalz
Dear CHUM Family, my mom, Marlene Steltzer, wants you all to know how much she appreciates the cards, prayers, and altar flowers that have brightened her day.  I also want to say how thankful and blessed I feel to be part of such a caring church family.  With sincere thanksgiving, Lori Adams
Dear CHUM Family, what a surprise to receive the beautiful Easter flowers!  You brightened my day!  Easter blessings to you!  Love, Gladys Saunders
Dear CHUM Family, This is to express our thanks for all the blankets, flowers, cards, visits, and phone calls.  We appreciate greatly your love and concern!  Love in Christ to all, Bob and Kay Steele

Help Welcome Pastor Kathleen Kind

In July, we will be welcoming a new pastor to our church family. Please help us welcome Pastor Kathy with words of encouragement and an abundance of prayer. Send cards and letters to 1029 Penn View Ln., Duncansville, PA 16635.

Virtual Small Groups

It is more important now than ever to continue to connect with others during our shelter-in-place order. Are you looking for a practical way to stay connected to our church family? We are now offering virtual small groups! Visit camphillumc.org/virtualgroups for current offerings or to register for us to form a new virtual group including you. Questions, contact Sandy Zirbel at szirbel@camphillumc.org.

A Celebration for Mother’s Day

Proverbs 31:31 says, “Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” We want to honor your mother and mother figures on May 10th, but we need your help! Send us your favorite photo (of just your mom) for our Mother’s Day celebration on May 10th. Email your photo to Leslie at lpetersheim@camphillumc.org by May 4th.

Senior Shout-Out Week

We want to celebrate 2020 graduates! We will be featuring graduating seniors each day on our Facebook page, May 18th through May 23rd. Send a photo of your graduate, school from which they are graduating, their major (if applicable), a short video and/or words of encouragement and love for your senior to Kayt Hughes at khughes@camphillumc.org. Submissions are due by Mother’s Day, May 10th.

Be The Church

We have heard from many of you who are searching for ways to offer your talents and spirit to your neighbors. We are excited that we are bringing together those who are in need and those who are willing to help. If you are in need of food, someone to run an errand for you, or someone to talk to, we want to connect you with those in the church who care. So, if you are in need or you want to give of yourself, please visit camphillumc.org/bethechurch. Questions, contact Drew Robeson at

Now putting together Care Bags for Heroes. Are you looking for a hands-on way to provide encouragement and hope during the COVID-19 crisis while also responding to a tangible need? Honor a hero on the front lines of the COVID-19 response while supporting the work of a local mission by sponsoring a Care Bag for a Hero. COVID-19 Update

Our leadership team is carefully and continually monitoring this situation. As information evolves, camphillumc.org/coronavirus is the primary, most up-to-date place for you to receive answers to commonly asked questions. We are committed to doing everything we can to provide a safe environment for our church family and surrounding community.

The Camp Hill UMC campus is currently closed. The church office will remain open with modified hours. On Mondays, the office will be open from 9:00 am—4:00 pm. Every other day of the week, the office will be open from 9:00 am—noon. For the safety of you, our community, and our staff, please call or email rather than visiting. If you must stop by, please call in advance. You can find our list of contact information by visiting camphillumc.org/staff or you can call the church office at 717-737-5631. Thank you for your patience during this time.

Your generosity makes a difference! Please continue to faithfully give financial offerings online or by mail so that the mission and ministry of Camp Hill UMC thrives all the more in the midst of difficult days.

Team Panguma

The Panguma Travel Team will not be making the journey to Panguma. Travel restrictions have added great complexity to that trip. So, please keep our siblings in Panguma in prayer and those who had committed to being part of the travel team, as we continue to work together to schedule a new time to make that journey to Sierra Leone—we hope, in the fall. If God is calling you to be on the travel team, contact Drew Robeson at drobeson@camphillumc.org.

Created for a Purpose

Created for a Purpose is a creative arts camp for girls who are going to be in 3rd to 8th grade. The camp is July 27th—July 31st from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Each day the girls will do one of the following creative arts: cooking, sewing, painting, sculpting, and jewelry. The registration forms can be found on camphillumc.org/summercamp. We also need volunteers to help with the camp. If you would like to be a volunteer or have questions, please contact Jane Allen, alandjanie@msn.com or 717-737-1801.
