Children are more than the church of tomorrow; they are a vital part of the church today! The vision of CHUM Children is to grow children’s hearts for God. We want children to experience for themselves who God is, how He sees them, and how much He loves them. We were given prayer as a way to communicate with God directly. Teaching our children to pray helps them to understand that God is always accessible and always there for them.
The children of Camp Hill UMC have listed ideas for prayer for you to consider each day, and we invite you to add your own personal prayers. Beginning June 1st, prayers will be listed on camphillumc.org/prayertime and daily on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Upward Flag Football and Cheerleading registrations will be available online starting Monday, June 1st! Visit camphillumc.org/upwardsports to register! If you have questions, please email rnoss@camphillumc.org. We’re looking forward to a great season!
It is more important now than ever to continue to connect with others during our shelter-in-place order. Are you looking for a practical way to stay connected to our church family? We are now offering virtual small groups! Visit camphillumc.org/virtualgroups for current offerings or to register for us to form a new virtual group including you. Questions, contact Sandy Zirbel at szirbel@camphillumc.org.
**Two new virtual small group offerings are now available to register for: Pandemic Parenting and One Year Chronological Bible Study. Visit camphillumc.org/virtualgroups to learn more and to register.
We have copies of the May/June Upper Room in the church office. If you would like a copy, we are happy to mail them, or you can stop by during office hours and pick one up if you call first at 717-737-5631.
The Upper Room® is a global ministry dedicated to supporting the spiritual life of Christians seeking to know and experience God more fully. From its beginnings in 1935 as a daily devotional guide, The Upper Room has grown to include publications, programs, prayer support, and other resources to help believers of all ages and denominations move to a deeper level of faith and service.
Camp Hill UMC is collecting cloth masks, of any design. Our goal is to have 300 masks, individually bagged, available for the congregation upon re-entry. Completed masks can be dropped off in the labeled bin by the main entrance or we can schedule a socially-distant pick up, simply contact Drew at drew@camphillumc.org.
In July, we will be welcoming a new pastor to our church family. Please help us welcome Pastor Kathy with words of encouragement and an abundance of prayer. Send cards and letters to 1029 Penn View Ln., Duncansville, PA 16635.
We have heard from many of you who are searching for ways to offer your talents and spirit to your neighbors. We are excited that we are bringing together those who are in need and those who are willing to help. If you are in need of food, someone to run an errand for you, or someone to talk to, we want to connect you with those in the church who care. So, if you are in need or you want to give of yourself, please visit camphillumc.org/bethechurch. Questions, contact Drew Robeson at
drobeson@camphillumc.org.
Every day (except for Saturday Sabbath), someone from Camp Hill UMC will be engaging with you on Facebook Live at 6:30 pm. In our church’s pattern of praying together at dinner time, we invite you to join in these “community” events and to add your prayers to the chorus.
