*Pre-registration is required. Sign up today! If the weather is inclement and we need to make a service adjustment, we will be able to contact you. In addition, pre-registration provides for contact tracing if needed. We ask you to bring your own chair, wear a mask, and practice social distancing.
This Sunday, September 13th, we will be calling on YOU to participate during our worship services. You will need an additional electronic device with internet access. During the service, you will be prompted to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We can’t wait to worship with you on Sunday!
There are times in life when we don’t know what do, and we find ourselves having to wait for direction. This Sunday, Jesus calls us to get back to the basics. Join us as we begin a new worship series called What to Do When You Don’t Know What to Do. We will be exploring Luke 24:13-32.
The wait is finally over! Download our new Church Center App*! Sign up for events, connect with a community, submit prayer requests, check your family in, and more right from your smartphone. Visit camphillumc.churchcenter.com to view on a web browser, or download the app on Google Play or the Apple Store. If you have any problems signing into the app, please email Leslie at email@example.com.
*After you download the app, search for Camp Hill United Methodist Church. When you sign in for the first time, on the login screen, click Need a password. Enter your email address or phone number when prompted, and then click Send Code. You will receive an email or text with a verification code. Click the link in the email or text to go to the verification page, where the code will already be entered.
Studying God’s word with our brothers and sisters in Christ is a very valuable piece of our Christian walk. Through these group studies, we also grow in relationship, not only with God but with our Camp Hill UMC family and friends. We invite and encourage everyone to be a part of a Discovery Group. Both in-person and virtual groups are forming and others are continuing. You do not have to be a member or attendee of Camp Hill UMC to join a study group. All are welcome to participate.
Volunteer at the Upward Football Concession Stand! This is a fun way to help the kids and watch the games. Your help is greatly appreciated! This year will be a little different as you will be REQUIRED to wear a mask to volunteer in the stand until further notice. Sign up today!
Ideas for prayer are shared from Camp Hill UMC Student Ministries for each day of September. Feel free to add additional prayers that come to your mind and heart for people and situations in our local church, The United Methodist Church, the global church, and the wider world. Prayers will be listed on camphillumc.org/prayertime and daily on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Grab your coffee and join us for our Virtual Coffee Connection on Zoom. Fellowship will begin immediately following the 9:30 am Worship Service on Sunday morning, September 13th. Please sign up at camphillumc.churchcenter.com/registrations or call the church office for assistance at 717-737-5631. We can’t wait to see your smiling face! (PJ’s welcome)
Our daily encouragement sessions on Facebook Live have been a great way for us to stay connected as we were physically distant. We will now offer three Facebook Live sessions per week. Someone from Camp Hill UMC will be engaging with you on Facebook Live* at 6:30 pm. In our church’s pattern of praying together at dinner time, we invite you to join in these “community” events and to add your prayers to the chorus. See our updated schedule below!
Sundays : Sermon Rewind
Bring questions from that morning’s sermon!
Tuesdays: Children’s Chat with Miss Katie
Wednesdays: Mid-Week Check In
*A Facebook account is NOT required to watch the live videos!
Join us this fall as we read the book White Fragility by Robin Diangelo. As you read, take notes, pray about it, talk about it in your home and with those in your circle. We have created a space to use the book as a platform to talk openly and as a community of faith about racism. Jesus calls us not to turn away from the challenging issues but to join together and work towards a more just world. Sign up for the class that will run Wednesdays at 6:30 pm from September 16th – November 18th. A virtual class and an in-person class will be offered.
The Unified Leadership Council will meet next on October 13th at 6:30 pm online. These meetings are open to all members and friends of the church. To read past meeting minutes, visit camphillumc.org/unified. For information on how to log in to the Zoom meeting call the church office at 717-737-5631.
The Unified Leadership Council’s Yearly Visioning Retreat is this Friday and Saturday and we are requesting peoples’ prayers! Likewise, the yearly Program Staff Retreat is on Monday and Tuesday, and we also covet the prayers of the congregation, as we reflect and make plans to live into God’s mission for the church.
We have heard from many of you who are searching for ways to offer your talents and spirit to your neighbors. We are excited that we are bringing together those who are in need and those who are willing to help. If you are in need of food, someone to run an errand for you, or someone to talk to, we want to connect you with those in the church who care. So, if you are in need or you want to give of yourself, please visit camphillumc.org/bethechurch. Questions, contact Drew Robeson at
It is our responsibility to show others the love of Jesus. Each week in September, we will challenge you to BE the church.
• WEEK THREE CHALLENGE: Invite someone to join you in worship, a small group, or our Virtual Coffee Connection.
• Do you have a great story from our BE THE CHURCH challenge? Share it with us! Email your story to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our leadership team is carefully and continually monitoring this situation. Every other day of the week, the office will be open from 9:00 am—noon. For the safety of you, our community, and our staff, please call or email rather than visiting.
