Interactive Worship

This Sunday, September 6th, we will be calling on YOU to participate during our worship services. You will need an additional electronic device with internet access. During the service, you will be prompted to answer a question by sending us an email to questions@camphillumc.org.  We can’t wait to worship with you on Sunday!

Front Porch Visits

Please pre-register for a Front Porch Visit with Pastor Kathy. These will be held in small groups in person at the church (with safe social distancing and mask-wearing), online using ZOOM, or if you’d prefer, on your front porch. The purpose of these will be for Pastor Kathy to get to meet you, hear your stories and hopes for the Church, and to better get to know Pastor Kathy. Pre-register online or by calling the church office at 717-737-5631.

Join a Small Group

Studying God’s word with our brothers and sisters in Christ is a very valuable piece of our Christian walk. Through these group studies, we also grow in relationship, not only with God but with our Camp Hill UMC family and friends. We invite and encourage everyone to be a part of a Discovery Group. Both in-person and virtual groups are forming and others are continuing. You do not have to be a member or attendee of Camp Hill UMC to join a study group. All are welcome to participate.

2020 Upward Football Concession

Volunteer at the Upward Football Concession Stand! This is a fun way to help the kids and watch the games. Your help is greatly appreciated! This year will be a little different as you will be REQUIRED to wear a mask to volunteer in the stand until further notice. Sign up today!

September Prayer Time Calendar

Ideas for prayer are shared from Camp Hill UMC Student Ministries for each day of September. Feel free to add additional prayers that come to your mind and heart for people and situations in our local church, The United Methodist Church, the global church, and the wider world. Prayers will be listed on camphillumc.org/prayertime and daily on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Virtual Coffee Connection

Grab your coffee and join us for our Virtual Coffee Connection on Zoom. Fellowship will begin immediately following the 9:30 am Worship Service on Sunday morning, September 6th. Please sign up at camphillumc.churchcenter.com/registrations or call the church office for assistance at 717-737-5631. We can’t wait to see your smiling face! (PJ’s welcome)

Facebook Encouragement

Our daily encouragement sessions on Facebook Live have been a great way for us to stay connected as we were physically distant. We will now offer three Facebook Live sessions per week. Someone from Camp Hill UMC will be engaging with you on Facebook Live* at 6:30 pm. In our church’s pattern of praying together at dinner time, we invite you to join in these “community” events and to add your prayers to the chorus. See our updated schedule below!

Sundays : Sermon Rewind
Bring questions from that morning’s sermon!

Tuesdays: Children’s Chat with Miss Katie

Wednesdays: Mid-Week Check In

*A Facebook account is NOT required to watch the live videos!

White Fragility by Robin Diangelo

Join us this fall as we read the book White Fragility by Robin Diangelo. As you read, take notes, pray about it, talk about it in your home and with those in your circle. We have created a space to use the book as a platform to talk openly and as a community of faith about racism. Jesus calls us not to turn away from the challenging issues but to join together and work towards a more just world. Sign up for the class that will run Wednesdays at 6:30 pm from September 16th – November 18th. A virtual class and an in-person class will be offered.

Unified Leadership Council

The Unified Leadership Council will meet next on September 8th at 6:30 pm online. These meetings are open to all members and friends of the church. To read past meeting minutes, visit camphillumc.org/unified. For information on how to log in to the Zoom meeting call the church office at 717-737-5631.

Be The Church [UPDATE]

We have heard from many of you who are searching for ways to offer your talents and spirit to your neighbors. We are excited that we are bringing together those who are in need and those who are willing to help. If you are in need of food, someone to run an errand for you, or someone to talk to, we want to connect you with those in the church who care. So, if you are in need or you want to give of yourself, please visit camphillumc.org/bethechurch. Questions, contact Drew Robeson at
drobeson@camphillumc.org.

It is our responsibility to show others the love of Jesus. Each week in September, we will challenge you to BE the church.

• WEEK TWO CHALLENGE: Send a note of encouragement to a teacher in a school in the area.

• Do you have a great story from our week one challenge? Share it with us! Email your story to lpetersheim@camphillumc.org.

COVID-19 Update

Our leadership team is carefully and continually monitoring this situation. As information evolves, camphillumc.org/coronavirus is the primary, most up-to-date place for you to receive answers to commonly asked questions. We are committed to doing everything we can to provide a safe environment for our church family and surrounding community.

The Camp Hill UMC campus is currently closed. The church office will remain open with modified hours. On Mondays, the office will be open from 9:00 am—4:00 pm. Every other day of the week, the office will be open from 9:00 am—noon. For the safety of you, our community, and our staff, please call or email rather than visiting. If you must stop by, please call in advance. You can find our list of contact information by visiting camphillumc.org/staff or you can call the church office at 717-737-5631. Thank you for your patience during this time.
