Give Ye Them To Eat
Give Ye Them To Eat (GYTTE) is an Advance Special ministry of the United Methodist church. It was founded in 1977 as a social outreach program of the Methodist Church of Mexico to combat hunger and poverty in the rural sector.
One aspect of GYTTE’s ministry is the AWARE program for cross-cultural experiences through work and study. AWARE stands for Alternative Work/ study And Reality Experience. The AWARE program is designed for adults of all ages, immersing them in the reality of life in rural Mexico as it relates to the issues of hunger, poverty, development and global awareness. AWARE focuses on the needs of villagers and farming families as well as the Church’s response to those needs. Together, Camp Hill UMC and GYTTE invite you to become AWARE in Mexico.
