The Spirit of meditation in movement
Welcome to Yoga Chapel™. We are a creative expression of Christian community that weaves together the practice of yoga with prayer, meditation, music, and Scripture. A member of Yoga Chapel International, Yoga Chapel at Camp Hill UMC explores the teachings of Jesus and God’s love for humanity in an embodied practice that brings breath, movement, and worship together.
Through our practice, we become more aware of God and connect with the person we are created to be. We let go of prescriptive versions of what our relationship with God ought to be and, instead, embrace the mystery of God’s timeless, gracious, and boundless love for us and all of humanity.
Come and join us at Yoga Chapel. Wherever you may be on your yoga journey and wherever you may be on your spiritual journey, you are welcome.

Childcare: A Space for All, Including the Little Ones
Ms. Elaine and Ms. Ami are excited to care for your little ones while you spend time on the mat. Just $5 per family.
Is Yoga Chapel for Me?
Yoga Chapel is a moving meditation that begins with breath and involves moving from seated poses on the mat to standing and flowing poses with elements of stretching and balance. Our leaders strive to offer modifications, ensuring an inclusive experience for everyone.
How should I prepare?
You’ll want to dress in something comfortable that allows you some ease of movement in stretching poses. A T-shirt and joggers or yoga pants work quite well. We have a limited number of yoga mats to share, so we encourage you to bring your own if you have one. A rolled towel works nicely to protect your knees in kneeling poses.
Meet Our Leadership Team
Yoga Chapel Camp Hill is led by Yoga Chaplains through Yoga Chapel. In addition to our weekly gatherings, the leadership team of Yoga Chapel Camp Hill organizes social events and quarterly mission projects that positively impact our community.
Kristin Mooney
Yoga Chaplain and Yoga Chapel at Camp Hill UMC Program Director
Inspired by the global, non-denominational fresh expressions of church movement, Kristin seeks to share God’s grace and the teaching of Christ in a way that welcomes the spiritual explorer. Having personally experienced how weaving the teachings of Jesus through her yoga practice opened her to new discoveries in her relationship with God, the Spirit, and herself, Kristin began sharing the practice with others in 2017. She finds great joy connecting with people who are curious about the teachings of Christ, as well as seasoned Christians looking for a deeper connection with their Creator. Kristin strives to create an inclusive, multilevel experience where those stepping onto the mat for the first time and those further along in their practice can find space to explore and grow together.
Kristin earned her 200-hour teaching certification through YogaFit and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. She completed the “Yoga from a Christian Perspective” training with New Day Yoga and has completed training through Fresh Expressions and its Center for Remissioning. Kristin is the executive director of Yoga Chapel.
Andrea Cassell Bretz
Yoga Chaplain-in-training
Andrea grew up in Central PA and in the United Methodist Church. For the last decade, she has sought to grow her faith in different ways, not necessarily within the confines of sanctuary walls. She feels yoga is the perfect way to experience God’s grace, to meet new people wherever they are in their fitness or spiritual journey, and to feel a sense of belonging.
A lifelong dancer, Andrea has been a dance instructor for the last 15 years. She currently teaches ballet, tap, and jazz at a local studio. She is currently pursuing the Pathway to Yoga Chaplain certification with Yoga Chapel and the 200-hour yoga teacher certification through YogaRenew.
Andrea lives in Mechanicsburg with her husband, two-year-old daughter, and senior pup.
Cindy Metzger
Yoga Chapel Assistant Leader
Cindy’s faith infiltrates every aspect of her life. She loves sharing her connection with God and her joy for movement with others through Yoga Chapel. Cindy became a Christian in her early twenties and soon after began teaching for Body & Soul where she led aerobics alongside contemporary Christian music. Upon moving to Camp Hill, PA, with her husband and young children, she began teaching a variety of fitness classes, including yoga, barre, and pilates at the local YMCA. A self-proclaimed early bird, Cindy has a big following among the get-up-and-go crowd who enjoy her early morning fitness classes.
